At Docugami (“Docugami”), we provide a software-as-a-service platform for artificial intelligence (AI) document engineering. This Privacy Policy explains our information practices, the kinds of information we collect, how we use and share that information, and your options.

Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information Processed by us in our business, including on our website (each a “Site”), add-ins, applications, and other online offerings (collectively, the “Services”). All Individuals whose responsibilities include Processing Personal Information for us are expected to protect it by following this Privacy Policy. This Policy applies to all of Docugami’s operating divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, and branches, and any additional subsidiary, affiliate, or branch of Docugami that we may subsequently form.

3.1 Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It
The types of Personal Information we collect and our privacy practices depend on whether you are a customer, user, or visitor (together, “Individuals”) and the requirements of applicable law.

Early Access Sign Up. When you sign up for early access to our Services on our website, we may collect your name, business email address, job title or role, and country or region.

Communications with Us. We may collect Personal Information from you such as email address, phone number, or mailing address when you request information about our Services, request customer or technical support, or otherwise communicate with us.

Information we collect may be associated with accounts and other devices.

Information we collect through these services may include your name, your user identification number, your user name, location, gender, birth date, email, profile picture, and your contacts stored in that service. This supplemental information allows us to verify information that you have provided to us and to enhance our ability to provide you with information about our business, products, and Services.

De-identified and Aggregated Information Use. We may use Personal Information and other information about you to create de-identified and aggregated information, such as de-identified demographic information, de-identified location information, information about the computer or device from which you access our Site and Services, or other analyses we create. De-identified or aggregated information is not Personal Information, and we may use such information in a number of ways, including research, internal analysis, analytics, and any other legally permissible purposes.

Docugami may use Personal Information to pursue legitimate interests, such as direct marketing, research (including marketing research), network and information security, and fraud prevention, or any other purpose disclosed to you at the time you provide Personal Information or with your consent.

Information We Process on Behalf of Our Customers (as Processors)

Our customers may choose to use our Services to Process certain data of their own, which may contain Personal Information. The data that we Process through our Services is Processed by us purely on behalf of our customer, and our privacy practices will be governed by the contracts (e.g. a business associate agreement) that we have in place with our customers, not this Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions or concerns about how such data is handled or would like to exercise your rights, you should contact the person or entity (i.e., the data controller) who has contracted with us to use the Service to Process this data. Our customers control the Personal Information in these cases and determine the security settings within the account, its access controls and credentials. We will, however, provide assistance to our customers to address any concerns you may have, in accordance with the terms of our contract with them.

3.3 Cookies, Pixel Tags/Web Beacons, and Analytics Information
We may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through the Services. Technologies are essentially small data files placed on your computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other devices that allow us to record certain pieces of information whenever you visit or interact with our Site and Services.

Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ device browsers to store their preferences. Most browsers allow you to block and delete cookies. However, if you do that, the Services may not work properly.

Pixel Tags/Web Beacons. A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon) is a piece of code embedded on the Site that collects information about users’ engagement on that web page. The use of a pixel allows us to record, for example, that a user has visited a particular web page.

Your Choices: Right to Object to Processing
5.1 General
You have the right to object to or opt out of certain uses of your Personal Information. Where you have consented to the Processing of your Personal Information, you may withdraw that consent at any time and prevent further Processing by contacting us as described below. Even if you opt out, we may still collect and use non-Personal Information regarding your activities on our Site or Services for other legal purposes as described above.
5.2 Email and Telephone Communications
If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt out of receiving future emails. Note that you will continue to receive transaction-related emails regarding products or Services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding us and our Services, and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding the Services or updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy).
5.3 “Do Not Track”
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.

In accordance with applicable law, you may have the right to: (i) request confirmation of whether we are Processing your Personal Information; (ii) obtain access to or a copy of your Personal Information in a commonly used and machine-readable format; (iii) receive an electronic copy of Personal Information that you have provided to us, or ask us to send that information to another company in a commonly used and machine readable format (the “right of data portability”); (iv) restrict our uses of your Personal Information; (v) seek correction or amendment of inaccurate, untrue, incomplete, or improperly Processed Personal Information; and (vi) request erasure of Personal Information held about you by Docugami, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. To protect your privacy, Docugami will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Docugami retains the Personal Information we receive as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our Services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our Services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.

Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. If you are a resident of the European Union, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom and your concern with Docugami has not been addressed satisfactorily, or if you believe we are not processing your Personal Information in accordance with applicable law or in accordance with this Privacy Policy, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority in the member state in which you reside, in addition to the rights set forth in Section 6 above.

Children’s Information
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or other age as required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has uploaded personal information to our site without your consent, you may contact us as described below. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of applicable law, we will delete any personal information we have collected, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it.

“Sales” of Personal Information under the CCPA
For purposes of the CCPA, Docugami does not “sell” Personal Information, nor do we have actual knowledge of any “sale” of Personal Information of minors under 16 years of age.
Additional Privacy Rights for California Residents
Non-Discrimination. California residents have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of their rights conferred by the CCPA.
Authorized Agent. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your Personal Information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
